Afrowave:
Kaysha, first of all, congratulations for your latest release. This is your number what?
Kaysha: It's number 5 as a solo artist but I've also done a lot of projects with other people...

Afrowave: And the title should not be better - Legendary. What are you saying here?
Kaysha: I'm saying that this has to be the work of God and the work of love to achieve such a status just by being simple, yourself and unlimited in terms of boundaries, thus you gotta be a legend.

Afrowave: I must say, it is a hot album. Now, you went totally "Zouk," except a couple of other songs. Where's the other "Kaysha" that we know - the hip-hop guy? (smile)
Kaysha: He retired lol... I love hip-hop and hip-hop is in every level of my album in the way I produce, mix and work. But I ain't 18 no more and I want to move on and reach other skies. I think I went as far as I could in terms of the goals of perfection that I've imposed myself as a rapper and I have a new dream now to become a nice singer and that's my new challenge. But be on the lookout...

Afrowave: It seems that something "soft, passionate, caring, etc." was inside you. The whole album is very smooth and loving…
Kaysha: Yeah, I just got all these feelings inside of me that I really need to let out. Messages to people, autobiographic songs, precious moments, memories. I totally feel like myself when I sing those songs...

Afrowave: Tell me a little about "Ba Yebi Te." Is it a trip to your roots, The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)?
Kaysha: Yeah, I needed a track that was RnB and hometown at the same time, and it's the perfect track. I dedicate it to all the African women in the house. That song is to show you how much we appreciate our values, so let's hold on to them and keep us proud...

Afrowave: Absolutely. Now, how is the album promotion going?
Kaysha: There's a 3 part promotion. First: just let it out and let the fans and internet do it's work; second: start the heavy promotion, press and TV; Third: go all around the world and perform. Right now, we are about to finish stage 1 and roll out the first 2 videos.

Afrowave: It appears that you're all over the world…where are you chatting from at this time?

Kaysha: I began responding your questions in New York, then in an aiport in Washington DC and I'm finishing answering in Paris in my appartment.

Afrowave: Wow...that's what I call an international traveller. Well, my friend, we wish you best of luck.
Kaysha: Thanx my homie
